In this regard we have used chitosan, bees wax, cocoa butter, coconut oil etc to successfully construct nanoparticulate carriers for several therapeutic agents. I also have expertise in formulating therapeutic agents from plant sources in nano-particulates for treating diseases like cancer and we are currently studying how the active constituent from turmeric (curcumin) can be packaged into a nanoparticle system in the treatment of colon cancer.
